essential care and advice

Sock Care

Take good care of your socks. Wash them inside out and with similar colours. wash too on a 30 degree cycle, using an eco-friendly detergent. do not tumble dry them or iron them.

take good care of your feet too. excessively long nails can damage socks.

rather than tightly balling our socks, fold them gently and let them rest. excessive balling can damage their fibres.

sock advice

our socks contain 40% merino wool, which means they can pill when first worn.  ensure socks are worn with well-fitted shoes to avoid excessive rubbing, which can cause additional pilling and wear.

our marl grey socks are exactly that, marled thread, meaning two threads of yarn have been twisted together to achieve the colour. as a result, this particular colour sock can vary in length by up to 1cm. the slightest change in general heat temperature when knitted and boarded, together with the tension used to create the cone of yarn, can affect the final product. the factory strives to ensure consistency but this cannot always be achieved.

our socks are knitted on a double cylinder machine, which means the top of the rib knits straight into the body. as a result there is a small thread at the beginning of the sock which is where it all starts. if it appears loose simply fold it back inside the sock, please do not pull this end.

our socks are smart, daywear socks and although we highly encourage all of the following, they are not hiking, running or climbing socks.

We really hope you enjoy our socks as much as we do.
